Voisilmäpullan täyteläinen maku on peräisin laktoosittomalla voilla leivotusta taikinasta sekä runsaasta voi-sokerisilmästä. Valmiiksi paistetut pullat vaativat ainoastaan sulatuksen, ja ulkonäöstä näkyy suomalaisen ammattileipurin käsityön jälki.
