Valio Mustaleima™ is a crying Emmental cheese that has been matured for at least nine months. Strong and rich in taste, the cheese is enjoyable in everyday life as well as on special occasions. Valio’s cheese masters matured the first Emmental cheese already in 1908 following the teachings of Swiss cheese masters. Traditional Emmental is identifiable by its nutty taste, hard texture and large holes. The highly aromatic and versatile Valio Mustaleima™ tastes good on its own and on a cheese platter. The cheese can also be used in cooking to give a strong flavour to gratinating, sauces and soups. Remember the handy grated version!
