Horseradish paste is finely grated horseradish, to which additional flavor is brought by a small amount of wine vinegar and a pinch of salt. Since horseradish paste is almost entirely horseradish, it has a lot of flavor. Horseradish paste is great for cold and warm sauces, spice butters and mayonnaise. Serve horseradish on its own as a side dish to sausage, meat and fish dishes or mix together with rich mayonnaise, crème fraîche or unflavored cream cheese.
