The base of Filos Kalamata olive paste are Greek Kalamata olives and Greek extra-virgin olive oil, as well as herbs. The paste is pureed to be suitably flexible. A little grainy texture gives a nice mouth feel. Mediterranean herbs give a suitable flavor, but do not mask the flavor of the Kalamata olive. The acidity and freshness of olive paste comes from vinegar. Olive paste is suitable for breads, for decorating boiled eggs and as a seasoning, as a dip for vegetables and breadsticks, and with pasta and rice dishes. You can also extrude the paste and decorate it with bread cakes and other savory servings. Filos 180 g olive paste is packed in a glass jar. Add extra virgin olive oil to the paste if necessary.
