The Rosolli Salad is a traditional Finnish Christmas delicacy. This tasty Rosolli Salad is made with boiled beets and carrots as well as onions and pickles, which really add flavor to the whole. Rosolli is an excellent side for Christmas ham and other meats, but it also goes well with Christmas casseroles. You could also serve up the Rosolli Salad with other salads or as a side to Christmas fish dishes. You can customize the Rosolli to add more richness or your own favorite flavors. Its easy to customize the Rosolli Salad by just adding some cottage cheese and diced apples, both of which are the perfect complement to the flavor of Rosolli. The Rosolli can become more salad-like through the addition of some rocket and feta or goat cheese, as well as some seasonal winter fruits like pomegranates and persimmon. Traditionally rosolli is served cold, but is also finely suited to be heated up. Oven-roasted rosolli is a good side dish for meat or fish. You could also sauté the Rosolli in a pot and add in some cream to really add some depth into the dish.
