1826 perustettu GlenDronach on yksi Skotlannin ensimmäisistä rekisteröidyistä tislaamoista. Tislaamon perustaja James Allerdice oli värikäs persoona, joka promotoi viskiään aktiivisesti ja jota pidetään yhtenä tynnyrikypsytysviimeistelyn pioneereista. Tislaamo onkin edelleen tunnettu erityisesti Pedro Ximenez ja Oloroso -sherrytynnyrikypsytetyistä viskeistään. Useasti palkittu GlenDronach löytyy nykyisin sekä 25. arvostetuimman viskibrändin että 25 nopeinten kasvavan single malt –brändin listalta.
